How to use your Shankara Ayurvedic Skincare

It starts with cleansing
The effectiveness and absorption of Shankara products depend on the quality of your face cleanser. We recommend using 100% natural cleansers that won’t clog your pores.
Try our Deep Cleanse Facial Ubtan. An all in one cleanser, exfoliator and mask.
Should you prefer a soap cleanser: Castile Soap is an excellent choice and is widely available at health stores and online. Opt for the Castile Soap Bar rather than the liquid version—it lasts longer.
Castile Soap is crafted using just two ingredients—lye and vegetable oil—staying true to the original, time-honoured method of soap-making.
So zero chemicals. Castile Soap is free from Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) — a harsh detergent often added to make products foam. As a result, it won't lather like chemical-based cleansers, but it gently cleanses without stripping your skin of it’s natural oils.
If your skin initially feels dry after using Castile Soap, don’t worry. Many chemical-based cleansers create a false sense of hydration with synthetic ingredients while failing to cleanse your pores properly. Castile Soap, on the other hand, deeply cleanses and leaves your pores open, allowing your skincare products to absorb more effectively.
